Sound Museum Music is an independent Label, Artist Management & Music Publishing company based in Boston, MA.
We manage and administer the catalog and publishing for award winning songwriter & vocalist Casey Desmond, a contestant on the first season of NBC's The Voice, legendary session musician collaborative Orphans of the Storm, and several other noted artists. Our company has both written and placed our artist's music with many major film, t.v., and advertisers, such as World Bank, Peace Arch films, Make Up Forever, Diesel, MTV, HBO, and many others.
Katherine Desmond has a background in Music Composition, Performance Art and Stage Production, & have written, recorded, and/or performed with world renowned recording artists such as Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel) Reeves Gabrels (David Bowie), Adrian Belew (King Crimson/Zappa), legendary underground band/performance group BENTMEN with whom she's been playing, writing film soundtracks, and producing with for over 20 years. We are currently working on the contemporary musical BENTMEN:ULCER GULCH which is in pre production for a major motion picture.
We own and manage the 6 Sound Museum Rehearsal complexes in Boston providing rehearsal space and live sound stage production to 1000s of local Boston musicians as well as The Magic Room Gallery, a small 100 seat intimate listening room located in Brighton, MA.
Some of our clients have been/are Dropkick Murphys, Greg Hawks, Letters to Cleo, Til Tuesday, American HiFi, Atom Said, BB King and many more.
Our newest project: The Instrumental release of Orphans of the Storm, includes tracks with keyboardist Greg Hawkes (from the Cars), legendary guitarists Gary Lukas, Grammy winner Will Ackerman, bassist Tony Levin, grammy nominee John Butcher & Michael Oakland.
